"WARM-UP CHAT"

I was thrilled to be accepted into the American Academy of Equine Art fall exhibition.  My painting, "Warm-up Chat", is on display now in the Museum of the Horse, at the Kentucky Horse Park near Lexington.  I have been very busy the past few months preparing for my art show "Finding the Familiar", being exhibited through October in the (Moore County Arts Council) Campbell House  Gallery.  I have 40 paintings on display.

"WHITE TRUFFLE OIL"

Kitchen stuff is so colorful.  I was recently introduced to the wonderful flavor and aroma of truffle oil.  Since I couldn't find (or afford for that matter) real truffles, I placed a couple of white mushrooms next to the bottle.

"THE GARLIC POT"

I really enjoyed painting this picture.  Garlic is a staple in my kitchen that I use almost every day.  My little garlic pot was a nice model too.

'BRIE AND CRACKERS'

I was so fascinated at the beautiful preparation of this sun dried tomato pesto cheese, I brought it home (all the way from California) to paint.  I am now enjoying the wonderful flavor.

"CHERRY GLASS"

I haven't been able to post anything for awhile.  My Mom passed away 2 weeks ago.  Life has not been normal this entire month.  "Cherry Glass" was completed the first week in June.  I also painted a portrait of Mom (from a picture of her when she was a young woman), before I left to make the trip to California for her funeral.  I gave that picture to my sister for her birthday (June 16).  I'm hoping I'll be feeling like getting back to normal next week.

"Bear in Bunny Costume"

I spent all day yesterday  trying to figure out blog stuff. :(  My computer skills leave a lot to be desired.  Oh well, perhaps I'll get better.
